2020 Set to Be a Year of Change at Turnkey
The world of Microsoft Dynamics is changing, rapidly, and it’s an exciting time to be part of the community. With Business Central in the cloud, opportunities with Power platform, enhanced integration and so many exciting advancements to ISV products, it’s no wonder many people are switching to Microsoft for their business software solutions.
Change is Good. The team at Turnkey Business Software is also embracing change – with a major office refit and ambitious growth plans.
Our Team Love Our Location
Established in 1980, Turnkey has been successfully delivering business software to companies throughout the UK and Ireland. Turnkey provides solutions for accounting, manufacturing, distribution, CRM, HR, and payroll as well as a wide range of industry-specific solutions.
Based just on the outskirts of Glasgow makes it easy for the team to get here. A great transport link either by public transport or car supports our teams’ commute from all surrounding areas. Our location is key to the perfect work-life balance. Turnkey has resided in the former gatehouse to Philipshill Hospital for over 15 years, thus our interior was a little tired. So rather than relocate the team, MD, Tony Wood, decided it was time for a complete overhaul.
Change Is Never Easy
The transformation will take place over the next six months and we’ve already finished Phase 1. The East side of the first floor is unrecognisable. Knocking down internal walls to create a fresh modern collaborative workspace was no mean feat, so we started on the easy part first. Working with a creative architectural team, the plans are fully approved and it’s full steam ahead to complete the rest of the refurbishment.
Thornton Lodge – then and now
Now known as Thornton Lodge, the building was the former gatehouse to Philipshill Hospital which opened in 1929. There have been some modest extensions over the last 20 years to suit a business premise, but the gatehouse has retained many of the original features both externally and internally. The accommodation was previously used by Doctors from the hospital who were mainly on call. Dr. James Graham has captured some of the histories of his own journey to becoming a doctor and memories of Philipshill Hospital in a novel which you can preview on Amazon.
Thornton Lodge now houses a team of highly skilled (happy) IT and software professionals, specialising in business software solutions built on Microsft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Turnkey also provides IT infrastructure and advise on the best office 365 solutions for a growing business, as well as providing the UK’s leading insolvency case management software (IPS).
Turnkey have ambitious growth plans, the additional capacity this refurbishment has created is required to support long term business growth. Since joining the executive team in early 2019, I have already seen exceptional growth in a relatively short period of time. It’s an exciting time both for our long term employees (some have been here for over 20 years) as well as the younger members who are just starting their career.
