Like many new businesses Limpet Technology originally implemented a well-known accounting software package to see them through the early stages of growth. However, they soon realized that this wouldn’t give them enough flexibility and would become more labour intensive in time.
Limpet need to manage remote production of their products and keep a careful note of the components used. Notices of upcoming servicing requirements have to be monitored and service checks carried out and changes to components or the location of the units has to be logged at all times to ensure a full safety trail.
A functional, Microsoft-focused solution capable of being modified to suit Limpet’s unique business processes was required. Once the team saw a demo of Microsoft Dynamics NAV they were convinced it would meet their financial accounting requirements and could be adapted to other areas of the business.
Microsoft Dynamics allowed Turnkey to implement changes to screens, processes and reports to meet the challenges – all within a single Microsoft Dynamics NAV environment.
Their complete end-to-end ERP solution was supplemented with Draycir’s Spindle product providing electronic document distribution.
